Nubank is seeking a skilled Lead Software Engineer to drive innovation and technical leadership within our dynamic teams. You will have the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies such as Clojure, Finagle, Kafka, Prometheus, and Kubernetes. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Clojure and Finagle. - Develop high-throughput jobs and implement inter-service communication using Kafka. - Ensure continuous integration and deployment into AWS. - Store data in Datomic and DynamoDB. - Maintain monitoring and observability using Prometheus. - Run applications in Kubernetes. - Manage projects independently, ensuring successful execution and delivery. - Address complex problems requiring coordination across multiple subjects and stakeholders. - Take ownership of solutions spanning multiple teams and business units. - Develop innovative solutions with medium-term impact at a team or project level. - Participate in cross-functional collaborations and set technical standards within your project or team. Basic Qualifications - Typically 6+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong track record of leading projects and processes independently. - Proven ability to address complex and ambiguous problems requiring coordination across multiple subjects and stakeholders. - Experience owning solutions that span several teams and business units. - Demonstrated success in developing and delivering innovative solutions with medium-term impact at a team or project level. - Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex messages clearly and persuasively. Preferred Qualifications - Experience leading a pack, squad, or similar team structure. - Proven ability to reduce complexity in projects, systems, and processes.
