About the team: The Financial Planning & Analysis job family is accountable for driving Diageo's end-to-end business performance management cycle. These roles set the rhythm and encouraged inputs and outputs of performance management, in line with standard global BPM processes and ensure that the BPM cycle is supported by high quality performance information and insights to enable timely course corrections. They also ensure a continued focus on continual improvements to processes, systems and data. About the role: The Sr. Overhead Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the overhead management agenda for their assigned LAC market. This role collaborates closely with local finance teams, regional stakeholders, and global service delivery teams to ensure accurate, timely, and standardized reporting, forecasting, and analysis of overhead costs. The Sr. Analyst plays a key role in implementing finance initiatives and supporting process improvements aimed at driving efficiencies and optimizing overhead spend. The position requires strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial planning and accounting processes to ensure effective cost tracking and support decision-making. Key responsibilities include: - Supporting the planning, forecasting, and analysis of overhead costs for the assigned market. - Collaborating with market controllers, budget owners, and shared services teams to ensure accurate cost allocations and reporting. - Preparing and reviewing standardized reports to monitor overhead trends and identify variances. The Sr. Overhead Analyst is expected to build effective working relationships with key stakeholders and act as a point of contact for overhead-related matters within the market. Role Responsibilities: - Support the development and monitoring of overhead budgets, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, analysis, and forecasting. - Collaborate with budget owners to track performance, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support the execution of efficiency initiatives. - Monitor financial risks and opportunities within the scope of overheads, raising potential issues and proposing actions when needed. - Coordinate with accounting teams during month-end close to ensure accurate accruals and overhead entries. - Provide financial and accounting support related to indirect costs, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and standards. - Participate in overhead review meetings and prepare materials to support discussions with market stakeholders. - Support HR-related financial planning, particularly in areas impacting the P&L; such as payroll and headcount reporting. The Sr. Analyst role requires strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively across functions, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
