Job Summary The Senior Network Engineer leads the design, implementation, and support of client network environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Responsibilities include resolving complex issues, automating processes, mentoring junior engineers, and managing both on-prem and cloud-based networks. Responsibilities Provide L3 support for datacenter and server-related issues. Design and maintain network runbooks for reliability and performance. Mentor junior engineers and guide troubleshooting efforts. Perform root cause analysis to uphold quality standards. Support client migrations and lead complex projects. Implement and maintain cloud and on-premises network solutions. Recommend improvements for network performance and security. Assist sales teams in solution design and client presentations. Manage escalated technical problems and ensure process compliance. Deliver monthly team performance reports. Oversee technical training and stay current on networking technologies. Identify automation opportunities to improve operations. Skills and Experience Experience 6+ years in network engineering or related field. Experience with large-scale server/cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Participation in 24x7 on-call support rotation. Education Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent experience. Technical Skills Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure, security, and protocols (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VPNs, SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, etc.). Hands-on experience with firewalls, routers, switches, wireless devices, and monitoring tools. Proficiency in cloud networking (Azure/AWS). Strong understanding of ITIL framework and Linux fundamentals. Skilled in network design and diagramming for medium-to-large environments. Certifications (Preferred) CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Azure Network Engineer, AWS Network Specialty, ITIL 4 Foundations, Linux Essentials.
