For every child, the right to be protected Qualifications - Masters in Public international law, (International) human rights law, (International) children's rights, (International) refugee law or other relevant fields; - At least 4 years of experience in public international law or international human rights law. Experience in child rights or refugee lawn is an asset; - Good knowledge and understanding of established international standards in the field of child rights. Knowledge of child protection, child safeguarding measures, and the Armenian legal framework on child protection is an asset; - Demonstrated experience in undertaking legal analysis, writing reports, and providing legal advice. Experience in a judicial institution or accountability mechanism providing legal analysis on public international law or international human rights law is an asset; - Experience in fact-finding and documentation of collected information. Experience in conducting interviews with (child) victims and witnesses is an asset; - Comfortable to work independently while coordinating closely with different teams; - Experience conducting needs assessments, reviews and making recommendations; - Ability to travel; - Full command of spoken and written English and Armenian. Responsibilities - Working closely with HRDO team and UNICEF Senior Legal Consultant on child rights, the consultant is expected to produce specific deliverables to contribute to the preparation of a report by the HRDO. The deliverables are described in the respective section and shall focus on supporting the interview process and drafting of respective sections of an ad-hoc report that outlines the human rights situation of displaced children and provides recommendations for improvement.
