Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Legal Counsel with at least 7+ years of post-graduate experience to join our dynamic global legal team. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate degree in Law with a concentration Commercial Law and demonstrate a strong command of corporate legal matters, contracts, and negotiation skills. C1 or greater English proficiency is mandatory, as the role involves frequent interaction with international teams and stakeholders. This position is hybrid in-person/remote, with an in-office requirement of 40% of the month. Drafting/Negotiation/Reviewing commercial contracts including Master Service Agreements, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Supplier Contracts, Licensing Agreements, Data Privacy and Security Agreements. Liaising with internal business clients and stakeholders as well as external clients and stakeholders to ensure timely review, negotiation, and adherence with internal policies and practices. Coordinate the drafting, review, and proper execution of all contracts with business units, service lines, IT, HR, Legal and Finance, as applicable. Formulate contract/commercial risk assessments and deliver contract briefings. Provide guidance on contract risk, terms and negotiations to ensure the best possible outcome for the company. Collaborate with project teams to fully understand the products and/or services being provided and develop contract document templates. Establish positive and productive relationships with contract requestor(s), project teams, and senior leadership involved in contract process. Research legal issues and engage in fact gathering and checking to provide support to senior legal team on all assigned legal matters. Effective use of contract management tools / systems / automation Qualifications Required Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized institution and a postgraduate degree in Law with a concentration Commercial Law . Experience: at least 7+ years of post-graduate experience at a recognized top law firm. Language Proficiency: C1 or greater English proficiency (written and spoken). Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with contract management software is a plus. Legal Registration: Membership in the Colombian Bar Association ( Consejo Superior de la Judicatura ). Demonstrable experience of high-level contract drafting, negotiation, finalization and effective use of contract management policies and tools Solid working knowledge of legal issues related to global commercial transactions, including IP protection, artificial intelligence, data privacy and security, and commercial disputes Strong interpersonal skills and experience interacting professionally with all levels of management, multiple geographies, internal subject matter experts, legal staff, vendors, and clients. Pragmatic, practical, and commercial approach to problem solving and the ability to assess commercial risks; skilled at balancing legal risk with business objectives to get deals done. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, cross-functional environment. Proactive approach to managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. Ability to pick things up quickly, including a willingness to broaden experience and knowledge. Self-motivated and able to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision Demonstrate a positive attitude, the ability to work with others. Strong ethics, integrity, and values, including the ability to maintain confidentiality concerning agreement contents and other highly sensitive business matters and projects required. Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines effectively in a fast-changing business environment. Ability to work well in a team environment, but also comfortable with taking ownership of projects and driving them to conclusion. Possess the ability to adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected shifts in priorities while maintaining focus and productivity in a high-volume environment required Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (and with contract management applications.
