SM As part of the UHC Technology Provider and Shared Services organization, this individual will be accountable for product delivery by partnering very closely with executives and senior leaders across the Business, UHC Technology, Optum and vendors for the portfolio. This role has overall accountability for the delivery of product roadmaps, the achievement of expected business value, and the continued product and agile transformation of business partners in the Provider and Shared Services portfolio. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Partner with Business product leaders and enterprise architecture to create and maintain the vision and end-state for Provider & Shared Services products, inclusive of the UHC Common product model - Partner with Business product leaders and enterprise architecture to drive product planning and maintain a set of product/capability roadmaps - Ensure development of a groomed backlog across products in the portfolio - Align business demand reflected in product roadmaps with technology resource capacity - Partner with engineering leaders to establish dedicated, fixed capacity teams to deliver on product roadmaps - Act as a Servant Leader while ensuring delivery processes are followed, product delivery is occurring per product roadmaps, and the business value expected from product investments are realized - Support creation of strategies based on Provider & Shared Services business strategic themes, cost, business value, capability type & health, and other key metrics over a three to five-year horizon aligned to business capability and technology roadmaps - Serve as a trusted partner to Provider & Shared Services business leadership by providing innovative thought leadership and guidance - Partner with Portfolio Management to provide leadership reporting and visibility to product maturity metrics, spend and benefit realization - Provide a framework to capture all demand for Provider and Shared Services engineering leadership including capital demand from outside the Provider and Shared Services portfolio and non-capital financials inclusive of modernization, PLM, OM - Ensure transparency and engagement of stakeholders on initiatives impacting, but not funded by, Provider and Shared Services - Act as a point of contact with other LOB transformation teams to drive consistency of agile practices, advocate for our team’s needs and bring improvement opportunities back to the Provider and Shared Services team - Drive continuous improvement in agile maturity of the team, business and engineering partners - Implement strategies and tactics to attract, retain, and develop talent to create a diverse, high-performing team - Develop and deliver executive level written and verbal communications - You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. **Required Qualifications**: - English and Spanish proficiency - 7+ years leading multi-million-dollar technology portfolios - 5+ years of experience leading technology delivery portfolios of $50M+: demonstrate understanding of financial processes/tools to support IT plans and execution (e.g. capital funding, cost/benefit analysis, Internal Operating Income [IOI], other financial metrics) - 5+ years’ experience driving change and obtaining results in a large corporate, matrixed environment - 5+ years’ experience in people leadership and management, including direct experience leading, managing and mentoring teams in a virtual/geographically diverse environment - 3+ years’ experience interfacing and influencing decisions at the C-Suite of large organizations - 3+ years’ experience communicating technology matters to business partners, senior executives, and strategic partners **Preferred Qualifications**: - Experience working in a Shared Services model - Agile experience - Professional Services Consulting experience Technology Careers with Optum.
